The pressure switch receives 12 volt ignition power and sends signal to a required SPDT 30 amp relay (Model 340) that turns the compressor on and off automatically 90 PSI On / 120 PSI Off. We recommend the safety relief valve (52145) on the tank will release a burst of air when the pressure switch fails, when you hear that, kill power to the compressor so that it doesn't burn itself out, then replace the pressure switch.
